WCF is Breaking Records in 2022

Posted: 7/25/2022

The Amount of Cancer Patients Being Assisted by WCF is Skyrocketing.

We are only a little over halfway through the year, and we have already beaten the numbers from all of 2021. Last year we assisted 59 patients from 22 counties. This year, however, WCF is already assisting 61 patients from 25 counties! We are currently assisting recipients from the following counties: Brown, Butler, Chautauqua, Coffey, Comanche, Cowley, Douglas, Edwards, Ford, Harper, Herington, Johnson, Labette, Lyon, Marion, McPherson, Miami, Morris, Osage, Reno, Rice, Riley, Sedgwick, Sumner, and Wilson. However, we are accepting applications from residents of all counties in Kansas! Click on the video below to see a map of all the counties we are assisting.

Not only have our numbers increased, but so has the satisfaction of our recipients. 100% of recipients surveyed reported decreased financial distress and increased emotional well-being because of WCF’s assistance. 98% reported a positive impact on their family/caregivers. One of our recipients stated: “The Wichita Cancer Foundation gave me some needed peace during such a scary time. Having a cancer diagnosis is one thing, but the stress of finances on top of it all was a lot. They paid for my premium and that made sure I was covered by my insurance”.
