A member of the board since its inception, Chris has also chaired the Care Committee which reviews assistance applications. Chris was voted into the office of President at the Board of Directors July 2020 meeting. He fills a vacancy left by Steve Peterson who was promoted to Chief Banking Officer at CrossFirst Bank and is relocating to the Kansas City area.
About Chris
Chris shares his dedication to the Wichita Cancer Foundation: “As a cancer survivor, the mission of the Wichita Cancer Foundation is personally meaningful. Significant and unanticipated challenges are faced by a cancer patient and the patient’s family. At such a difficult time, all of a patient’s focus must be on treatment and cure. Losing health insurance coverage should not be an added stress during an already difficult time. More importantly, no life that can be saved with available care and treatment should be lost because of the inability to make an insurance premium payment. I’m proud of the Wichita Cancer Foundation’s work, and I am honored to be the President of its Board of Directors.”
Chris is an attorney with Hinkle Law Firm, LLC. He is actively involved in the Wichita community and has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He and his wife Tisha Arellano live in Wichita and have one daughter.
