Steve Peterson serves as President and Chairman of the Board of the Wichita Cancer Foundation. Steve’s extraordinary banking knowledge and past experience as a successful business owner are a proven combination for building a bank from the ground floor up. Now, Steve Peterson and his team are replicating that success for $918 million CrossFirst Bank as it establishes its presence at 13th and Webb Road in Wichita, Kansas.
Born and raised in Wichita, Peterson graduated from Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, and earned a degree in business administration from the University of Kansas. While residing in Austin, Peterson served on the Saint Williams Church Finance Board, Executive Board of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and Austin Medical Practice Managers Association Board. He also was President of the Georgetown Symphony Society Board of Directors. Peterson is a member of the 2013 Class of Leadership Kansas and is involved with the Wichita Chamber and Rotary Club of East Wichita.
Peterson, 49, and wife Suzanne reside in Andover, Kansas and have twin 19-year old children. He is active in the community and enjoys time with his parents and other family who live in area.
