Chairman and CEO, Murfin, Inc.
Mr. David L. Murfin serves as a member of the board for the Wichita Cancer Foundation. David’s vast leadership experience spans decades and is an invaluable asset for WCF. David is Chairman and CEO of Murfin, Inc., based in Wichita, Kansas, with many diverse business operations. Its roots trace back to 1926, when the family founded the now subsidiary, Murfin Drilling Company.
David graduated from the University of Kansas in 1975 with bachelor degrees in mechanical engineering and business and served as President of Student Union Activities. David is a member of the University of Kansas School of Business Board of Advisors and a Trustee for the University of Kansas Endowment Board, and a member of the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Kansas, Inc. He currently is Chairman and CEO of Underground Vaults and Storage, an Advisory Director on the Board of INTRUST Bank, and was a founding member and served on the Board of Directors of American State Bancshares and the Kansas Heart Hospital. David has three children with wife Janet Murfin and loves spending time with his three grandchildren.
